Its possible.. it really is. A NFL Franchise is about to make the record books as the first NFL Team to win the Superbowl, and thus have the perfect season. Undefeated from day one. So how did they do it? Well, lets take a look at some of their strengths
1. Tom Brady – What can I say, this guy is a machine. 398/578 amasing over 4 thousand yards and 50 touchdowns. But this week, the Boston Globe published a photo of Brady wearing a walking cast. His start chances? As of the moment I am writing this, ESPN.com has him listed as probable. What’s the condition? YAHOO! Sports reports a High Ankle Sprain. Will it keep the MVP from starting? I highly doubt it. In fact, this morning, there were reports he had the boot off already and was walking around.
2. Randy Moss – He’s got 2000 yards over 50 receptions, and 23 trips into the endzone. While Moss has been the “Bad Boy” off the field, on the field he remains as disciplined as ever. Moss’ latest accusation is another assault claim, but Moss claims her threats to go public were based on a 500,000 blackmail. The boston hearald reports that his accuser is in fact in financial trouble, verifying Moss’ claims.
3. Junior Seau- What can I say, the man has been playing for almost 20 years, but still tackles like he was fresh out of the draft. 73 Tackles, 3 sacks over the season don’t amount to much, but expect big things from the veteran
4. Stephen Gostowski – 21/24 in FG attempts and a perfect 7 4 PAT kicks. His longestis 43 yards, but I think he can pull it father if he needs to. Watch for him to be key early in the game, and then again as the clock winds down
These are just some of the key factors in the upcoming Superbowl that will allow the New England Patriots to do something no other NFL Franchise has done – Go Completely undefeated from Week1 to Superbowl in a single season. Me personally, I hope they do it, but if they do, then Brady will have one more ring than Joe Montana, and being a 49er fan, this is hard for me to swallow.
